He is one of the main faces of our out-reach efforts towards raising awareness (through lecture-demonstrations) and providing hands-on training to young students and youth on solar energy utilization.

A theoretical physicist, passionately pursuing ideas about standalone, offgrid solar energy use. He is very involved in collaborative research on modern solar instrumentation with Sekhar Banerjee. He is dedicated to further the social purpose of science and technology in the context of solar energy, and to underline its 'Creative Commons' aspect. He is active in outreach programmes on solar devices and publications of research findings at Surjokarmaa.
A journalist and creative author, is a source of inspiration behind Surjokarmaa activities. The in-house laboratory for solar research has been set up under her active supervision. She continues to contribute as a photographer towards documenting of Surjokarmaa actvities.
